Converting a Windows 10 Install Media to Windows 11 with Rufus
Upgrading to the latest version of Windows can be an exciting but daunting task, especially if you’ve invested time and effort into setting up your PC. In this article, we’ll guide you through the easy steps for installing Windows 11 from an ISO file using Rufus, a popular tool for creating and managing bootable devices.
What You Need:
– A Windows 10 install media (USB drive)
– Rufus (downloaded from the official website)
– Your desired Windows version (Windows 11 in this case)
Step 1: Open Rufus and Set Up Your Bootable Device
Launch Rufus, a free tool developed by Michael Terpstra, on your computer. It’s usually located in your Start menu or can be found by searching for “Rufus” online.
– On the main interface of Rufus, click the ‘Create’ button to start setting up your bootable device.
– Choose the USB drive as the destination and select a location to save your ISO file.
– Ensure that the USB drive is recognized by your computer and set as an external drive.
Step 2: Prepare Your Windows Install Media
